Job Description:

ObjectiveUnder general direction, is responsible for accurate preparation of information involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data necessary to produce financial statements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Prepare monthly journal entries, balancing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.Review monthly close schedule, ensures timeliness of assigned journal entries, and account reconciliations.Amortizes recurring expenses and ensures accuracy of financials.Upload month-end financial data and ensure data is balanced.Prepare and balance daily cash sheet, ensure bank transactions are accurate and research unusual transactions.Set up credit card payments for Amex and Visa with Controller's approval.Download credit card transactions, get appropriate approval, and post journal entries.Reconcile accounts receivable payments daily/weekly.Perform cash reconciliations.Set up new leases in CoStar.Compile and complete government census data.Assist with unclaimed property reporting.Manage fixed assets and fixed asset reporting (SAGE).Complete and submit quarterly supplemental reports.Assist with year-end audit, handle request from auditors, confers with supervisor, and ensures timely completion of audited financials.Resolve accounting discrepancies; elevate issues to supervisor as necessary.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.S.) in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university; and three plus years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.The posted salary range for this position is $64,480-85,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role.
