Paralegal/Legal Secretary - To 54K plus benefits

Job Description:

Busy applicant firm is in need of a full-time legal assistant or paralegal. We are looking for an individual who has experience with EAMS and WCAB procedures.

The assistant/paralegal will oversee workers' compensation cases by:

Serving as the primary contact point between the law office and defense attorneys/claims adjusters/doctors.

Monitoring all open cases to make sure clients are getting medical treatment and medications.

Filing workers' compensation applications and declarations of readiness to proceed and drafting letters/pleadings.

Recommending claim strategies to the attorneys.

Participating in meetings and providing updates as to the current status of cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

*MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3-4 YEARS RECENT EXPERIENCE IN WORKERS' COMPENSATION

*MUST HAVE GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS

*BILINGUAL A PLUS.

***Will train the right entry level candidate at $32000 per year, and will entertain qualified individuals at up to $54000 to start.
