GDIT's operations and maintenance (O&M) services support break-fix of current OBIM functional capabilities, as well as security remediation activities and developmental engineering (such as prototyping new code or configurations of OBIM functionality). GDIT is looking for an Quality Assurance/Tester to serve on the Operational Data Store (ODS) / Business Intelligence (BI) team for this large, complex task order. The successful candidate will support the OBIM data warehousing (DW) and BI environment and reporting capability in GovCloud. You are expected to apply your technical expertise and knowledge to provide continuous quality assurance of our data migration (ETL), datamart, and BI report development and validation. You will apply your quality assurance and testing skills to streamline our current data validation regime across multiple databases and environments. You may create Informatica ETL mappings and workflows based on existing templates. You may develop Oracle and Redshift tables and create Informatica mappings and workflows to perform high volume sampling data validation. You will perform exception analyses for data count and/or data value discrepancies. You will use your skills to automate and streamline validation methods and reporting. You will present findings and work with team on mitigations. You will validate business intelligence reports generated from BIRST and potentially other GovCloud BI tools.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform daily data validation of ETL processes for staging and datamart

Perform exception analyses on daily validation results

Manage and maintain data validation and analyses

Implement automated solutions to improve and streamline validation methods and reporting

Work across heterogeneous platforms - on-premise Oracle, AWS/GovCloud Redshift

Based on existing ETL mappings, create additional ETL mappings and workflows to run validation samples

Perform Business Intelligence report validation

Manage validation of tables

Capture the artifacts (Text and/or MS Excel formats) in SharePoint and manage them

Develop SQL Queries and PL/SQL Programs, MS Excel/VBasic functions, Linux scripting, cron jobs

Required Skills / Qualifications:

U.S. citizen

DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability

BA/BS or equivalent and 2+ yrs related experience

Data validation/quality experience

Oracle PL/SQL developer

Desired Skills / Qualifications:

5+ yrs related experience

Degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, or other relevant technical field of study

AWS, S3, and Redshift experience

Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, AWS DMS

Experience with BI tools, e.g. Birst, Quicksight, others

Experience with DHS vetting-related data and/or application solutions

Unix/Linux OS and scripting experience

Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, Operations, and/or Specialty domain

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 2+ years of experience
