Job Description Job Description Description: Summary The Ammonia
Refrigeration Technician maintains and repairs ammonia
refrigeration systems to meet plant specifications and comply with
local, state, and federal regulations. This role focuses on
hands-on technical work, accurate record-keeping, and supporting a
safe, efficient refrigeration operation while collaborating with
team members. We are willing to train, teach, or offer an
apprenticeship program to suitable candidates. Key Responsibilities
and Expectations Perform maintenance, inspections, and
troubleshooting on ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal
performance and safety. Work in low-temperature environments using
appropriate PPE, including respirators, to repair equipment.
Complete documentation for Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk
Management Plan (RMP), and California Accidental Release Prevention
(CalARP) programs. Adhere to safety, food safety, and Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) policies, reporting unsafe
conditions promptly. Collaborate with team members to address
system issues and support efficiency improvements. Maintain a clean
and organized work environment through general housekeeping.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management. Competencies
Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining
ammonia refrigeration systems. Safety Awareness: Follows safety
protocols and addresses unsafe conditions. Teamwork: Works
effectively with colleagues to achieve operational goals.
Adaptability: Adjusts to changing work conditions or priorities.
Attendance: Maintains consistent attendance and meets deadlines.
