Overview:
American Communications Solutions and By Light Professional IT Services are recruiting dedicated and talented IT Service and Program Management Office professionals for the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract. - EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. - Be a part of the team that delivers excellence in national missile defense, human space flight, space launch, and combat rescue! -This position provides overall direction and leadership to the operational activities of the Network Operations Center, which includes network as well as system infrastructures. Primary responsibilities include: managing a 24 x 7 command center; coordination of change management activities; incident resolution; command and coordination during major service Interruptions; ensuring notifications and updates; support to administrators and engineers; on-going monitoring and logging consolidation; and completing detailed reviews for major outage occurrences. This position is heavily involved in technically complex management of the datacenter to include lifecycle management of new hardware and software into the environment through the change management process. The ideal candidate will have solid management skills and a track record for leading small-medium size teams in a highly technical, process-driven environment. The main aim of the NOC Manager is coordination to ensure that the networking and virtual platform systems run efficiently and without interruption. They manage the business process in the organization. The success of a NOC manager depends on their knowledge of the industry and their level of experience in the field. - -

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning -The NOC Managers primary responsibility is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure stability of customer's infrastructure. -Provides overall expertise with all network and system operations functions. -Ability to define, implement and enforce configuration management and change management policies and practices. - -Acquisition & Deployment -Handle escalations and manage support from different levels. -Ensure adherence of operational policies and metrics. -Hire, develop, and retain highly responsive and customer focused administrators to ensure the effective operation of the department -Manage tools, systems and procedures to ensure dynamic management of issues and customer involvement. -Ensures all members of assigned technical teams are effective and fully utilized in order to provide high resource utilization. -Evaluates technical skills of the team and ensures there is an appropriate level of expertise. -Provide procedural training to staff. -Perform performance objectives and performance reviews with all team members. - -Operational Management -The NOC Manager will include hands on technical support work related to the overall health and maintenance of customer environments -This position will perform tier-2 and 3 escalation support and act as the point of contact in the NOC for all inquiries from other departments -The NOC Manager will manage all related partner operational expectations. -Ensure continual process improvement within the NOC including but not limited to automation of NOC tasks and reporting, implementation of enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks -Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within the NOC; recommend prioritized enhancements and oversee implementation -Work with technical project managers to schedule resources and meet operational deadlines -Work with all aspects of incident management lifecycle (logging, categorization, reporting, resolution, monitor, escalation, closure, and documentation) -Ensure that reports are accurate and delivered on time -Ensure that up-to-date technical documentation exists for all services provided to our teams and take ownership for reporting -

Required Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree with qualifications in computer science, or commensurate work experience. Familiarization with electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering and information technology and related fields. -IAT Level II Certification - Current (CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP) or higher -Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the positionMore than 6 years' experience in Microsoft product build and support experience with a high availability 24x7 including: -Expert knowledge of computer systems functions, potentials and licensing requirements -MS Server 2016 Server Admin / Virtualization - MCSE / MCITP -Expert knowledge of Virtualization using VMware, management via VMware VSphere -Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Anti-virus, backup procedures, Group policy, Disaster recovery and High availability using industry standards. -Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. SolarWinds NPM) and patch management systems -Good organizational background and the ability to manage multiple projects with an understanding of project management concepts -Ability to interact with and effectively present information to employees, management, and the customer -Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment -Network services experience is desired.Excellent leadership qualities -Demonstrated history of successfully leading teams -Excellent skills in developing processes and procedures for Client & In-house team. -Excellent oral communication skills, writing and presentation skills -Ability to interact with clients in a professional, articulate manner
