Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must be able to pass Procedural Sedation competency and EKG exam. Description: Cerner experience is required. The department consists of one suite/lab. The number of cases per day averages varies daily. The common diagnoses and types of patients include biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, gastrostomy tubes, cryoablation, and catheter/line placements. This role involves assisting Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive procedures. Responsibilities include positioning patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures. The role also requires assisting physicians in other modalities such as CT and Ultrasound. Candidates must be knowledgeable about the procedures, equipment, and procedural sedation. Experience in Radnet and Merge Unity is preferred. Staffing is scheduled 2.5 per weekday. This position includes rotating weeknight and weekend call requirements. There is a 30-minute response time for call. Floating to another facility may be required. Scrubs will be provided by the facility, with a navy surgical scrubs dress code. The orientation will be conducted by the Lead RN, with a minimum of one week required. There is a cancellation policy where the facility can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
