ManTech's Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly
talented candidates to support a contract that provides support to
the United States Space Force Launch Systems Enterprise
Directorate's - National Security Space Launch (NSSL).
We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas,
including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program
Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety &
Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information
Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of
New Entrant Launch Vehicles.
ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Range
Software Engineer for SpaceX Falcon vehicle programs to join our
team in the Lompoc, CA area.
Responsibilities:
Update and maintain a fully integrated data environment for mission
assurance and launch verification software applications on a
USG-provided server.
Evaluate, recommend, and perform end-user software updates,
enhancements, features and functionality for 30 LCG Mission
Assurance software applications, such as Launch Verification,
Launch Certification, and Facilities and Infrastructure Databases,
Mission Status Display, Borg and Borg Live tools, etc.
Evaluate and update SQL server databases to include but not limited
to database programming to prepare for launch operations, satellite
and booster processing, and contingency/anomaly resolution.
Develop and field enterprise-level web applications that provide
access for Mission Assurance team members from the Space and
Missile Systems Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and other
organizations as need arises.
Develop, update, and maintain system- level mission assurance and
launch verification software to include structure and use, training
development, and system maintenance and upgrades.
Evaluate and update Software System Requirements Specification and
Software System Design Specifications. Compile required information
relevant to scheduled mission critical milestones (e.g., items of
interest, criticality, and responsible organization).
Evaluate and update all non-system software documentation (e.g.
commenting in the code, user's manuals, training guides,
explanation of the software coding, audit/change logs and Cyber
Security artifacts providing evidence of approval to operate on Air
Force Systems) and make available for USG use.
Develop, organize, and facilitate user technical interchange
meetings and integrated project teams to manage requirements,
develop code, provide status, and field efficient software
applications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or Bachelor Degree in STEM
discipline
2 years software engineering, software programmer, software
developer, or other related areas experience may be accepted in
lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement
8 years as software engineer, programmer, software developer or
other related areas
US Citizenship is required
Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file
cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity
machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer
printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including
under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers,
which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to
exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment
The projected compensation range for this position is
$96,300-$115,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact
a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract
Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and
competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location
(For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as
Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech
