As a Production Control Scheduler, you will be an integral part of major integration operations at our Vandenberg site including launch, landing, and refurbishment processes. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and communicating any blockers. You will also be responsible for developing solutions to ensure the Falcon 9 work center has the personnel and parts needed for seamless execution of monthly launches from the site.


  • Create, coordinate, and communicate schedules for flight hardware operations and other projects that impact launch readiness
  • Provide tactical and strategic long-range scheduling expertise to our production teams
  • Analyze and determine insights from trends and operating metrics to inform critical department strategy and targets
  • Provide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance
  • Create and leverage metrics using SQL queries and Excel/Power BI/Tableau to highlight shortages and determine schedule risks
  • Work across departments to understand critical work requests ahead and behind targets to mitigate schedule impact risks
  • Work across departments to ensure supply chain and hardware availability aligns with current vehicle products
  • Track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activities
  • Ensure fixture, tooling, and test equipment requirements are properly scheduled to facilitate an efficient production process
  • Utilize production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate internal and external blockers to deliver product on time
  • Identify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost, and team efficiency
  • Develop and support efforts to streamline assigned products and automate production processes as applicable
  • Organize and communicate the daily priorities to production coordinators, team leads, and supervisors as required


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, management information systems, computer science, finance, or engineering or 2+ years of professional manufacturing scheduling experience
  • 2+ years of experience using SQL in a professional environment
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Project or Smartsheet in a professional environment


  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience doing advanced joins, views/table distinctions, and query optimizations
  • 2+ years of practical experience with an ERP/MRP systems in a production environment
  • Experience creating and managing dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Familiarity with lean principles, six sigma and Kaizen concepts
  • Project management professional certification
  • Able to be diplomatically persuasive or assertive when necessary
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to develop and manage program plans and schedule
  • Ability to work and communicate well with other in a team environment


  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
  • Schedule flexibility required in order to support nights and weekends when required by mission milestones
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
