Objective Under general direction, will maintaining Inventory at appropriate levels of assigned supplies to support manufacturing activities Material Planning : Understand MRP principles Interpret reports to determine purchase needs Issue PO's in compliance with company standards and procedures Manage vendor returns process and collaborates with supplier quality Understands basic SC concepts (ex. MOQ, QOH, QOD, QOO, Material Variances) Manage/track expedites Effective freight selection Purchases of raw materials via MRP and planning production requirements via MRP for selected items Manage PPV and opportunities for cost-reduction Coordinate material flow with production requirements Ensures ECRs are implemented accordingly. Create continuous improvement plans Knowledge of Kanban Recognize demand patterns, market trends Vendor Management Confident talking to suppliers Build an ethical relationship with suppliers Effective material disposition NCR's Communicate with suppliers to expedite or de-expedite based on analysis review. Ensure raw materials are purchased with the preferred supplier Negotiate with suppliers to meet cost & delivery requirements Required Skills Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to adapt and work well in a continuously changing and dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and teamwork skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities. Strong computer and data analysis skills an asset. Strong analytical skills Working knowledge of ISO13485, basic quality standards, NAFTA and customs regulations Basic understanding of INCOTERMs Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communications Ability to function in a controlled environment regulated by FDA GMPs and handle confidential data. Able to manage difficult situations, respond well to change, meet commitments, focus on solving conflict, maintain confidentiality and listen to others Ability to use ERP systems such as AS400, LX etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical business situations Physical Demands and Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Required Experience Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in Business or similar area plus 3 to 5 year's related work experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
